With over a billion users worldwide, is most popular messaging app. It is a very good tool to exchange multimedia content such as text messages, voice messages, photos, videos etc with families and friends. Some of these Multimedia content are very important and you don’t want to loose them. So, it is important to make a backup of your WhatsApp chats. There are two easy ways by which you can backup iPhone WhatsApp chats.
Backup iPhone WhatsApp chats on iCloud
WhatsApp uses iCloud to backup your chats to the cloud to help you in any unfortunate case the WhatsApp chats are lost. You can make a manual backup of your WhasApp chats. Launch WhatsApp from your Home screen and click on gear icon (settings) at the bottom right corner. Then tap on Chats option and then on Chat Backup. You can also backup iPhone WhatsApp chats automatically on iCloud. Follows the instruction below for that.
On the chat backup screen tap on Auto Backup. Tap on Backup Frequency to set your desired frequency for backup of WhatsApp Chats. it. By default, this is set to Weekly. We suggest that you change this to Daily to avoid data loss. If you want your WhatsApp videos also to be backed up on iCloud , then select Include Videos option in Chat Backup screen. The iCloud backup process can take a while to complete, depending on your Internet connection and backup size.
Email WhatsApp conversations
You can also send your WhatsApp conversations to your email easily. But the WhatsApp messages you will get in your email will be in txt format and can not be restored. And it also doesn’t include images or other attachments. Open WhatsApp from your iPhone’s home screen and go to the conversation which you want to email. Swipe right on the chat screen and then tap “more”, then choose Email conversation, Choose whether to attach media or not.
An email will be sent containing the conversation of that in attached TXT document. If you chose to include media, all the most recent photos/videos from the chat will also be included as individual attachments.
